Instagram’s Highlights feature is great as it allows you to permanently store your favorite stories to your profile. However, what if you wish to create highlights for your followers without displaying any stories? Indeed, it is quite possible! We’ll explain how to make Instagram highlights in this post without sharing a story.
What are Instagram Highlights and why are they important
A permanent story collection that you can save on your profile is called Instagram Highlights. The article typically vanishes after a day, but if you include it in a Highlight, it remains on your profile indefinitely.
Preserving significant content: You have the option to preserve your most cherished tales.
Professional use and branding: Highlights are highly advantageous for company accounts.
Making the profile appealing: It provides your profile a distinctive appearance.
Keeping up to date even when you don’t publish a story: You can still add to a highlight.
How to create an Instagram highlight without posting a story
Use the easy steps listed below to make a spotlight if you don’t want others to view your story.
Modify the privacy settings on Instagram
In order to prevent others from seeing the narrative, you must first ensure that only you can see it.
- Navigate to the profile page after opening the Instagram app.
- After selecting “Settings,” tap “≡” (the three-line menu).
- After selecting “Privacy,” select “Story.”
- Select “Hide story from” and then “All followers.”
- Only you will now be able to see your tale.
Upload the Story but keep it hidden
You can now upload the Story after making it private.
- To add a photo or video to the Highlight, select it from your collection.
- Post to Instagram Story after uploading.
- Because it needs to be live for a specific period of time in order to be put to the Highlight, let it be there for a full day.
Add a Story to Highlights
You can add your Story to Highlights now that it’s online.
- Tap the “Highlight” button at the bottom of your Story when it has opened.
- Either add it to an already-existing Highlight or create a new one.
- Give the highlight a name (e.g., Work, Memories, Travel).
- Highlights now contains your story.
